2022 NASCARWagers Betting Strategy

Welcome back to everyone that follows our weekly picks and previews. I hope everyone has enjoyed the off-season and wanted to take a moment to level set expectations for 2022 since we are within two weeks of the 64th running of the Daytona 500. With that being said, the 2022 season promises to present some challenges with the Next Gen Car. Drivers will have to adapt, teams will have to adapt, and inevitably bettors will have to adapt as prior performance trends will be re-established with NASCAR’s new modern era of racing.

While some of the “changes” may sound scary from an expectations standpoint, I would challenge bettors to be optimistic. After studying a lot about this new car, I already have some highly confident expectations that I will unveil in an upcoming preview for the first few races of the season. Even with optimism and confidence, bettors should expect a very conservative approach through the opening races of the season which means smaller bets and lower overall risks.

Historically, my betting strategy and success rates have gotten better as the season progresses. In fact, our picks were down nearly 30 units in the first two months of 2021 before rallying to record 102 units of profit on the season. I’m expecting a progressive pace this season as we get more confident with each races that passes. Remember, producing successful handicapping picks is a grind. It does not always reflect in the short-term but when you make good picks; the results will always reflect in the end.

Therefore, if I could preach one specific behavior for the beginning of the 2022 season then it would revolve around “patience.” From a betting standpoint, it is very easy to get overextended in the first few weeks with the excitement that racing has returned. Therefore, please have a disciplined approach if you do not follow our wager sizes verbatim and trust the process.

As always, official race picks begin with the Daytona 500. I do not bet the Trucks and Xfinity Series races in the opening week at Daytona. It is a tradition and a superstition to some degree. After Daytona, bettors can expect previews and predictions for all NASCAR’s touring series on a weekly basis!
