COTA Weekend Schedule

For the first time in history, NASCAR’s touring series will visit the Circuit of the Americas for a full weekend of road course racing. Nestled on the south side of Austin, Texas, the Circuit of the Americas will provide the ultimate test for NASCAR’s Camping World Truck Series, Xfinity Series, and Cup Series this weekend. The good news for bettors is that the new venue will yield a traditional weekend for NASCAR’s touring series with practices on Friday and Saturday in preparation for this weekend’s races.

I have stated many times that practices are very important to NASCAR handicapping metrics especially if you know how to observe the data. Practices may not always be the best indicator towards predicting winners but it can indicate the drivers to avoid which is equally valuable. Since we have some momentum going over the last several weeks with profits in 10 of the last 11 races, I definitely don’t want to lose any momentum. Therefore, rest assured I will be watching practices closely this weekend to help aid our betting picks for the first race at Circuit of the Americas.

Please be aware that full race previews may be posted later than normal this week as I include all practice observations in our analysis for each event. For now, I wanted to post the weekend’s schedule for all races because it will be an action packed weekend. Both the Camping World Truck Series and Xfinity Series will participate in a double header on Saturday before Sunday’s finale in the EchoPark Texas Grand Prix. If you are looking to stay updated on all this weekend’s event, take a look at the schedule below and be sure to check back later in the week for full previews and race picks!
