Over the past few years, Auto Club Speedway has built quite the reputation for presenting exciting racing. The two mile track is fast and has multiple racing grooves which provides great racing. Furthermore, over the past few years we have seen some great finishes in both the Sprint Cup and Xfinity Series’. Today we kick off a weekend of exciting racing with the running of the Drive4Clots.com 300 with a star studded field ready to take center stage at Auto Club Speedway. Take a look as we provide our Drive4Clots.com 300 race picks:

There are several big name drivers schedule to race this afternoon including Kevin Harvick, Brad Keselowski, Denny Hamlin, Austin Dillon, and Kyle Larson from the Cup Series. However, it is one of the young guns that will lead the field to the green flag today at 4:16PM (EST). Erik Jones has put the #20 GameStop Toyota on the pole for today’s race. I personally am a huge fan of Erik Jones and believe he is going to have one heck of a future in NASCAR. I have already predicted him to win the Camping World Truck Series Championship this season but he has also been really impressive in his few Xfinity Series appearances as well. While I would like to see Jones upset the Sprint Cup guys, history tells us that will likely not be the case.

Sprint Cup Series drivers have won every Xfinity Series racing going back to 2002 when Scott Riggs was the last Xfinity Series regular to visit victory lane. Today that trend likely continues when you consider the star studded cast that will be suited up. Kevin Harvick is always a big threat in the Xfinity Series. Considering Harvick’s experience at Auto Club Speedway, recent win at Atlanta, speed in the #88 car, among other factors he is currently listed as the overall favorite to win this afternoon. However, he will have tough competition. Last year’s race winner Kyle Larson back to defend his throne.

Denny Hamlin is in the #54 car that seems to always be at the front at Auto Club Speedway. Drivers Brad Keselowski and Austin Dillon were also really fast in practice. Dillon actually posted the fastest lap in final practice and also posted the best 10 lap average. The last time Dillon did that in practice, he went on to led 183 of 200 laps in dominating fashion for the victory at Phoenix just a few weeks ago. Therefore if you consider the factors, it would not be surprising to see any of the Sprint Cup guys win today’s race. However, I believe that only two drivers that are worth placing your money on this afternoon. Let’s hope one of these drivers cash for us this afternoon!
